Babajide Sanwo-Olu has formally declared his intention to slug it out against incumbent Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state.
He announced his bid on Sunday during a political rally held at City Hall, Lagos.

1. Sanwo-Olu formally declares intention to contest against Ambode

Babajide Sanwo-Olu has formally declared his intention to slug it out against incumbent Governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode for the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state.
He announced his bid on Sunday during a political rally held at City Hall, Lagos.
Sanwo-Olu is the Managing Director of Lagos State Development and Property Corporation, LSDPC, a parastatal under Lagos State Government.

2. EFCC denies freezing Davido and Adeleke’s accounts

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied freezing the bank accounts of Sen. Ademola Adeleke and those of his family members, including popular musician, Davido.
Spokesman of the commission, Mr Wilson Uwujaren, in a statement on Sunday, said media publications alleging the account freeze by the EFCC were false.

3. APC says Kemi Adeosun’s resignation is a sign of integrity

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has applauded the resignation of the Former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun and the acceptance of her resignation by President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as an act of integrity and honour.
The APC acting National Publicity Secretary, Mr Yekini Nabena, made this known in a statement made available to news media.

4. Kwara youths hold mass rally for Saraki’s presidential ambition

Thousands of Youths from various associations and groups at the weekend embarked on a rally in support of presidential ambition of the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki in Ilorin, Kwara capital.
The rally was led by Olarewaju Oba, an aspirant into House of Representatives for llorin/Asa Federal Constituency, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

5. EFCC places Fayose on watch list

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, has instructed the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) to ensure Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti State does not escape from the country.
In a letter signed by Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the EFCC and addressed to the Comptroller-General of customs, he  urged them to place Fayose on its watchlist and arrest him if he tries to leave Nigeria.

6. Anglican Bishop warns Buhari against contesting 2019 presidential election

Stephen Oni, the Bishop of the Diocese of Ondo, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to drop his re-election bid in 2019, as the nation needs young and visionary people to lead it.
The clergy stated that the problem with the country is the fact that older politicians in Nigeria had overstayed their time in office and refused to leave the political scene for the younger generation.

7. Melaye cries out over alleged plans to implicate him

Senator representing Kogi West, Dino Melaye, on Sunday raised the alarm over an alleged plot to frame him up.
The lawmaker alleged that the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello was intimidating one Mr Dogo to implicate him in a lie that he tried to kill the governor, as well as bribing the police to arrest and detain him.

8. Lasun Yusuf denies dumping APC for PDP

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Lasun Yusuf has denied reports that he has defected from the All Progressives Congress to the Peoples Democratic Party.
The Deputy Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Wole Oladimeji‎, described the alleged defection to the PDP as “highly misleading and uncalled for, saying he is a complete progressive.

9. Fayose reacts to EFCC putting him on watchlist

Governor Ayodele Fayose has reacted to the report that the EFCC has placed him on Customs watchlist, claiming he may be planning to escape from the country.
It was gathered that other security agencies such as the DSS, Police and others were also copied in the EFCC letter.

10. Ronaldo opens Juventus scoring account with two goals

Portuguese international winger, Cristiano Ronaldo finally opened his goal account for Juventus, scoring twice in the win against Sassuolo (2-1), and acknowledged that he was anxious.
Ronaldo had to wait for over 300 minutes to score his first Juve goal after arriving in Turin over the summer with a reputation for scoring up to 40 goals per season.

According to the students, the two were caught having sex during the morning prep class.  The students further noted that the two were so close in a manner that did not portray a student-teacher relationship. Speaking to a Hivisasa writer, a staff at the school noted that the deputy principal has been conducting investigations and spying on the two after rumors regarding them reached his desk. "The deputy principal likes to make a stop at the teacher's house every time he goes to his home," said a worker from the institution.
