Libyan deports 221 illegal immigrants May 31, 2018 9:12 AM — Punch Newspapers The Libyan authorities deported 221 illegal immigrants from African and Asian countries as part of the immigration department’s voluntary return programme. The department said in the statement that 163 Somali nationals had left for their home country on an airplane of local airliner Al-Buraq. The department said the deportation was in cooperation with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). “This is the first direct flight to leave Tripoli’s M’etiga international airport to the Somali capital Mogadishu,” the department said. Biafra: Declaring IPOB terrorist group while herdsmen carry AK-47 unjust – Methodist Prelate Uche

The Prelate, Methodist Church of Nigeria, His Eminence, Chukwuemeka Kalu Uche, has described the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, as the height of injustice. Uche said there was bias in the handling of the matter vis a vis violent herdsmen across Nigeria. 31-year-old Nigerian man, Clement Chukwuebuka Nwosu, who was murdered in Rustenberg, South Africa will be laid to rest on Friday, 25th May Late Chukwuebuka will be buried in his hometown, Uruokwe village, Enugwu-Ukwu, Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State. A London-based Nigerian man identified as Oluwatofunmi Fadesire, has taken to his Twitter page to announce that he has been picked to represent Nigeria at the "World's Strongest Man competition". Fadesire also known as Olu-Heavy, who finally got his wish to participate in the world contest, shared a photo of himself with the people he would be competing with, and expressed that he finally made it. The Nigerian Police have arrested 47 members of Biafra Independence Movement (BIM) and Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) in Aba. The Abia State Police commissioner, Mr Anthony Ogbizi, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Aba. Ogbizi explained that the persons arrested included men and women and were being held in Aba. He said that although they were peaceful during their march, they were arrested because they wore army camouflage uniforms and had Biafra flags and insignia with them. On whether or not BIM and MASSOB were proscribed like the IPOB, the commissioner said that they would vet the persons arrested to see if they belonged to IPOB to know what next to do with them. “We are profiling them and when we finish they would be charged accordingly. “The legal department is there.
