Breaking new Re-Run : ELECTION PDP HAS ALREADY WON ELECTIONS

Osun Re-Run: PDP Has Already Won Elections

With the rerun elections for Osun state already here, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) says its confident of winning

In the elections which took place on Saturday, the candidate for the PDP, Ademola Adeleke had 254,698 votes as opposed to the APC’s candidate, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola who had 254, 345.

This means that technically, Adeleke won the elections, but according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the number of cancelled votes during the election surpassed the margin with which Adeleke used to win and this, therefore, led to the results being declared as inconclusive.

PDP’s National Vice Chairman, South-South, Eddy Olafeso, however, is confident in Adeleke’s victory.

“For us, we are very confident that victory will be ours tomorrow. We already won anyway.” he said.

“We met with the leaders but victory is in the hands of God… even if people play around, God will not play around. He’ll determine the outcome of the election.”

“PDP is not bothered because our people are resolute. And they are desirous in ensuring that the victory denied us on Saturday will eventually be ours.

“We have spoken to our people and we are certain that their experience from the current administration is enough for the need for a change that will bring development to the nation.

What is on ground is clear to all: eight years of total profligacy in Osun State. We will continue to speak with leaders, some of them will listen to us while some will do their own thing.”

BREAKING:Adamawa gov poll declared inclusive

The Governorship election in Adamawa state has been declared inconclusive. Prof. Andrew Haruna stated so, while declaring the results in Yola, Monday morning. He cited the principle of the margin of lead, saying the slim margin of 32,476 necessitated the inconclusive declaration. As according to him, ballots cancelled for various infractions amounted to 40988 which is higher than the margin of lead. He therefore, called on the electorate to exercise patience, while the commission fixes a new date to conclude the exercise in the affected 44 Polling Units in 28 Registration Areas. However, the results as announced, indicates that Ahmed Umar Fintiri, candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), is leading in the Governorship race in Adamawa state. Fintiri polled 367,471 votes, while the incumbent governor, Jibrilla Bindow of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), scored 334,995. Results as announced shows that Fintiri is leading with a margin 32,476. Prof. Andrew Haru...
