Soldiers Kill Six Herdsmen, 150 Cows In Nasarawa

Six herdsmen and more than 150 cows have been reportedly killed by soldiers deployed in the Benue and Nasarawa states border.

It was gathered that the herdsmen were killed at Akpanagya, in the Keana area of Nasarawa.

Spokesman for the police in the state, ASP Usman Samaila, said the command received information that the military personnel came from Benue and carried out the operation.

“The command is aware of the incident that took place in the Keana Local Government Area of the state,” he said.

“I can confirm to you that our men went to the scene of the incident and recovered about six dead bodies killed by the suspected military men in the area.”
