Osun Re-Run: PDP Has Already Won Elections With the rerun elections for Osun state already here, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) says its confident of winning In the elections which took place on Saturday, the candidate for the PDP, Ademola Adeleke had  254,698  votes as opposed to the APC’s candidate, Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola who had  254, 345 . This means that technically, Adeleke won the elections, but according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the number of cancelled votes during the election surpassed the margin with which Adeleke used to win and this, therefore, led to the results being declared as inconclusive. Addressing a press conference in Ede, the South West zonal secretary of the PDP, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo said thorough investigation has revealed that the PDP was allegedly shortchanged by INEC through the summation of votes in Olorunda and Osogbo local government councils by allotting more votes to the All Progressives Congress (APC) than what the party garnered during the poll. New fuel prices released, minutes after Uhuru signed VAT law  New prices of fuel products have been announced, just minutes after President Uhuru Kenyatta signed into law the Finance Bill 2018. The new law will see fuel products attract eight percent VAT, down from the 16 percent initially introduced by Treasury CS Henry Rotich. The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) released the new retail prices indicating super petrol will be sold at between Sh114 and Sh124 depending on the location. Diesel will retail at between Sh105.50 and Sh115.81. Kerosene, which will now attract a Sh18 adulteration levy, will be more expensive with its prices mirroring those of diesel (Sh105.78-116.09).
